Frenchtown, NJ – Scott Pursell and his Advanced Autosports #1 Racing Team are celebrating 31 years in racing in 2008. 

Pursell started his career racing go-karts at age 14 in 1977. He has notched 6 stock car championships and captured 20 career wins in sportsman, small block modified and sprint car competition. Scott has been campaigning since 1998 with the URC organization. He has six feature wins and has finished in the top ten in URC points seven times. In 2006, Pursell scored two URC victories, at Lincoln Speedway and Penn Can Speedway, and finished 11th in URC point standings. In addition, the team launched a new web site, www.scottpursellracing.com.

For 2007, the team finished 15th  in the URC point standings.  Scott received the Joe Fiore Determination Award for 2007 and was featured in the 2008 National Sprint Car Calendar.  His wife Dawn, received the URC Women of the Year award at the banquet in December.

In 2008 the team will once again compete with URC with their new J&J chassis powered by Tony Feil Competition Engines.
